Professional Experience
- In charge of a specialist clinic set up by the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, China Academy of TCM, 3 days a week from December 1991 to April 1998 and from August 1999 to June 2003. Treated a variety of patients with allergy-related asthma, nephrosis, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, skin diseases, arthritis, depression, migraine headaches, insomnia, tinnitus, breast, liver, lung, stomach cancers, as well as reducing the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy such as poor appetite, nausea, vomiting and lower count of white blood cells.
- Invited and employed as visiting Professor by Johanniter Hospital in Bramsche, Germany as a result of cooperation of this hospital with the WHO Collaborating Center of TCM, Acupuncture Institute of China Academy, and International Acupuncture Center in Beijing. Performed more than 8000 medical procedures from May 1998 to July 1999. Widely accepted and respected by colleagues. Reference Dipl.-Kfm. M. Eversmeyer, Chairman of the Board of Johanniter Hospital.
- Conducted research on human body tendons diseases using combination of acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
- Advised 2 M.S. and 1 Ph.D. graduate students in the area of acupuncture and TCM.
- Taught tens of graduate and undergraduate courses and provided clinical training for thousands of students and professionals, including doctors from United States, Germany, UK, Sweden, India, Brazil, Korea and etc.
